A Smarter Dashboard, Better Stats, and Improved Swing Analysis

3 min read

This release brings one of the biggest upgrades to Fairway so far: AI Coach is now part of the dashboard, stats are easier to understand, journal entries are faster to create, and swing analysis now works better with longer videos.

A major update focused on making your golf data easier to use

The latest version of Fairway: Golf Coach and Journal is now available, and this is one of the bigger updates we have released so far.

The main goal of this release was simple: make your golf data more useful without making the app more complicated. Your rounds, practice sessions, stats, and swing analysis should not live as separate pieces of information. They should work together and help you understand what to improve next.

With this update, Fairway becomes more connected, more practical, and easier to use after every round or training session.

AI Coach is now part of the dashboard

AI Coach is now integrated directly into the dashboard.

AI Coach is now integrated directly into the dashboard.

Previously, you had to open AI Coach separately to get advice based on your latest golf data. Now, the dashboard shows the latest AI Coach summary automatically, so you can see the most relevant guidance as soon as you open the app.

The dashboard also shows when your advice is based on older data. That does not mean the advice is wrong, but it means you have newer rounds, practice sessions, or swing analysis results that could make the next recommendation more accurate. From there, you can retrigger AI Coach and refresh the advice with your latest data.

This makes the dashboard more than just a place to view numbers. It becomes a starting point for understanding what your game needs next.

The stats screen has been fully redesigned

The stats screen has also been redesigned and reworked from the ground up.

The stats screen has been redesigned and reworked from the ground up.

The new version is better connected with AI Coach and is focused more clearly on what matters: understanding your game, seeing your current focus area, and getting practical guidance on how to improve.

The focus area has been simplified, so it is easier to understand what part of your game needs attention. Practice and game insights have also been improved, with clearer explanations and more useful context.

Instead of showing stats only as raw numbers, the screen now helps connect those numbers to actual improvement. You can see what is happening in your game and how AI Coach interprets that data.

Journal entries are now faster and simpler

The journal entry flow has been simplified as well.

We removed unnecessary fields from practice and training logs, making it faster to record what you did without turning every entry into a form-filling exercise.

Hints and explanations were also added to make the flow easier to understand, especially for new users. The goal is to make journaling feel lightweight while still capturing the information needed to build useful insights over time.

A golf journal only works if it is easy enough to use consistently, and this update makes that experience much smoother.

Swing analysis now works better with longer videos

Swing analysis has also received an important workflow improvement.

Swing analysis has received an important workflow improvement.

You can now upload a longer video and choose the part of the video that contains the swing. Fairway then extracts that section and uses it for the analysis.

This makes the feature much easier to use in real practice situations. You no longer need to perfectly trim the video before uploading it. Record your swing, select the relevant part, and let the app prepare it for analysis.

This should make swing analysis more flexible and more forgiving, especially when recording on the range or during practice sessions.

A more connected Fairway experience

This release is a major step toward making Fairway feel like one connected coaching experience.

Your journal, stats, AI Coach advice, practice insights, game insights, and swing analysis now work better together. The app is becoming less about storing golf data and more about helping you understand what that data means.

As always, Fairway is not a replacement for a real golf coach. But it can help you track your progress, understand your patterns, and practice with more purpose between lessons and rounds.

The new version is available now.
